What a great way to start our blog: with our 30th
anniversary party!
FOCUS was founded in 1982 and we celebrated our
anniversary on Tuesday evening in great style at Christie’s. We had over 250 guests enjoying a relaxed
evening with great people and beautiful art. 
Christie’s is a stunning venue. At the entrance, we saw a beautiful
display of 19thcentury European paintings and then in the party hall a
variety of items. I particularly enjoyed the Jimmy Hendrix vest, but the
Picasso ceramics were probably the most popular items.
I would say that the peak of the evening was Alessandra’s
speech! Our executive director reminded us of what was going on when FOCUS was
founded: ‘the computer’ was the machine
of the year, ET was the blockbuster and our future queen Catherine Middleton
was born! Alessandra is the true face of
FOCUS : an expat that loves life in the UK but is still true to her beloved
Italy!
And what a finale the yummy sparkly cupcakes!
